My family spent 3 nights and 4 days at the K’esugi Ken campground in the Denali state Park in the middle of Febuary and it was so magical! We stayed in the Denali Public Use Cabin. We had fresh snow every single day and decently warm temps. This cabin is just feet from the parking lot making it a super easy stay with littles. The cabin is huge with a large upstairs loft and an additional bedroom downstairs. It is heated by wood stove but because of its size make sure to bring extra wood! It is a dry cabin but does have electricity. There are lights throughout the cabin as well as electrical outlets.

The trails and paths surrounding the cabin were mostly all groomed and perfect for cross country skiing or walking. The Curry Ridge Parking lot just down the road has snowmachine designated trails. There are additional snowmachining trails 10 minutes down the highway.

With the fluctuating winter temps and wood stove heated cabin my kids wore there merino wool layers during the day to help regulate the inconsistent temps! Wool layers also naturally stay clearer and order free longer than regular clothes!
